Btw, I think this island that somebody built would be a good one. That whole island/mountain is man-made supposedly.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

The farm is now closed to have some issues addressed! The following changes will be made:

1) some sort of blocker to keep people from walking out of the collection room and back up to the main tracks.
2) The minecart placer needs some work. Right now if someone places more than 1 iron ingot in the system and the time for the first ingot runs out, then the next ingot loads up, and makes the dispenser place a second minecart or more. I need to fix this so it places only 1 per rider.
3) A couple other really minor things Ill change.

1) place glass above the track, they wont suffocate, can't walk through, but a minecart will still ride through it.

2) i used a pulse length detector to keep it from refiring on each payment block, would prolly work for u to.

So i had this completely original idea that i definitely didn't steal from chief as seen here http://www.opticraft.net/index.php/topic,17626.0.html to turn my iron farm that i haven't been using into a public farm that works off obsidian  ;D

so if you wanna trade obsidian for lots of iron come to /home tiggy26668 iron

Currently I'm in the testing phase for my prototype design so if any bugs happen contact me here or in game and i'll try to resolve them.

What to do:

1) Come to /home tiggy26668 iron.
2) Walk through the door on your right. (if door is closed, farm is in use)
3) Place your desired amount of obsidian into the dispenser.
- 1 block of obsidian is approx 1 min of farm time, i recommend using at least 10 obsidian to allow golems to get up to their peek spawn rates.
4) A minecart will be dispensed and the door will be locked so no one else may enter. get into the minecart and press the button on the wall.
5) Ride the minecart until your time runs out. when the time expires you will be redirected to the collection room.
6) Break the minecart and deposit in the hopper on the floor (if it doesn't get sucked up already).
7) Collect your iron from the chest and exit through the door.
8) Profit

Notes:
1) If you intend to use the farm for more than 15 mins you must type something into chat to avoid being afk kicked.

2) There shouldn't be any weird teleport or death glitches with the minecarts, if this does occur for some reason alert me so i can try to resolve it.

And no, I had a minecart going straight down, cuz I gae up on elevators, kills the the second they step out

Tiggy, no. It also happens if you are riding a mine cart on a flat surface. I know because every. time. I am using my farm that you built, when I destroy the mine cart I get warped.

Honestly I just need to not die when I get out of a mine cart, and I need to not be teleported back to where the mine cart was originally placed.

If you want a successful anti-flying plugin, just add an IF conditional. If the player is in a mine cart then ignore their velocity which doesn't match up with a player who is walking because they are in a mine cart. Idk if the fly cheat is possible while in a mine cart, but if you can't fly while in a mine cart (using a modded client) then adding that conditional would work fine.


This is an issue of which, I think, a fix is necessary for normal game play.

did you ever go uphill while ridding the minecart previous to going downhill or on the straight path? cause from my testing all it takes is going up 1 block and after that point regardless of the track orientation you get ported... but if u never travel up you're good

chief if you're still using the ramp that goes up to the circle tracks at that iron farm, then that ramp up would b the cause

can't really say anything for u crzy since i dunno ur situation.... but if there's even a 1 block up before that downhill then that'd cause it....

or maybe it's gotten broken more since i last tested the causes.....

so just for the record the teleportation thing only happens when you ride a minecart uphill.... you can go straight or downhill as much as you like and nothing will happen, but the second you go uphil you'll get ported. tested it a while back when i was having the same issue.

still have a little setup at my castle that i test when im on to see if it's fixed yet...
really annoying regardless.

I'm failing to see the point of automating our hellos......

why can't we just say hi after joining?.... especially when you'll prolly do it anyway....

the only real benefit is for those trying to hide their login in which case there should just be a command to disable the login message.....

so with the exception of hiding logins i can't support this... you're just being lazy.... lol

i shoot for both with my builds..... i try to make my home as aesthetically pleasing as possible, and then i hollow out the ground underneath it and build massive farms  :D

aside from the random farms outside where i was testing stuff i've tried to make it look nice.

but if you were to go inside you'd find a staircase going down, and that entire mountain it's sitting on is hollowed out with layer after layer of various farms right down to bedrock.
