Name him Claw
However, correct me if i am wrong.

Perhaps you'll name him Gulliver (after the character from the book Gulliver's Travels). I say this because Gulliver was a traveler, and since you are taking a journey it seems suitable. Of course, it's your dog so you can decide his name.
