The reason they are not cheap, is to prevent access to the "lowbies". Imagine a griefer comes into the server. This griefer is 1 in a million, smarter than the rest, and realises what he could do with a ps. It is on sale, so he mines some iron, and buys diamond protection. He just has to place it, to screw over many people inside those 97336 blocks. See what I mean?

I don't really care for the idea,
but if it is implemented make sure that you can't exploit it for infinite money...
Make sure the sale is still more than the buy back (if it has one) so no one invests all their money into it for a week to sell for tons more...
Quote from: Wratkie on April 11, 2012, 06:43:38 PMI understand that but imagine that the item was a coal PS, which went on sale for 1,000 for 1 weekQuote from: Newbrict on April 11, 2012, 12:33:22 AM

If its an exclusive weekly item then the week it is taken done it should increase in value making a possible profit for player to player trades. but there will not be a way to get infinite money.
For example, Slimeballs, Blaze Rods, etc.

Quote from: Kian1354 on April 12, 2012, 01:03:45 AMThe problem I have with selling Slimeballs, Blaze Rods, etc. is that those items are very valuable to the player/player economy. If you remove the non-market-obtainable items then there will be nothing that the players exclusively decide the price on. Slime balls and Blaze rods should stay the way they are IMO, in order to maintain the player/player economy alive.
How about just selling items you can't sellFor example, Slimeballs, Blaze Rods, etc.
Also, Newbrict all items are bought much more expensive than they are sold (With the exception of PS)
