I knew about it yesterday lunchtime in the UK, Spike...
I think Morten said he went to visit the place, it's only 30 minutes away from him :S

What kind or gun was it? A pistol or assault rifle.

Seems to be becoming less of a "What are you watching" topic and more of a "What happened in Utøya" topic

The shooter had multiple weapons, including a shotgun, a handgun, and an automatic weapon.

He is also believed to be responsible for the bombings that occurred in Oslo moments before.

He has confessed to both the bombing and shooting.

Well who wants to kidnap a terrorist and submit him to bamboo torture?

Quote"He has said that he believed the actions were atrocious, but that in his head they were necessary,"

That's a quote from his lawyer.

EDIT: what is up with this weekend, 8 people shot dead at a seattle car show, and 5 kill at a texas birthday party shooting......

QuoteAccording to witness accounts from Norwegian media, people have described shooting incidents in two different areas on the island, one with a handgun and the other with a 'sniper rifle'.

I have read his diary now, he planned this shit for 9 years. he used a glock, and a Ruger Mini 14, half automatic.

I didn't hear about this... and I live IN Seattle

And very sorry to hear the tragic news, morten.

No point in killing him, you would just release him from all his responsibilities. Just think about it, what is a harsher punishment? Being killed or rotting in jail for years and having to think about what you've done for the rest of your life? Which one of these is the easier one for the murderer in your opinion? He will have to live with that act for the rest of his life in contaiment.

I am very sorry to hear what happened, Morten. We had some school shootings here in Finland and I lost a friend there too few years back.

Well it depends on how the prisons are over there, america has some of the worst prisons when it comes to violence and stuff like that.

I wonder if they can give this guy the death penalty.

isnt the death penalty like

if u kill someone = death penalty?

does it work like that?

No. Only certain places even have the death penalty. You need some really hard evidence to even get considered for the death penalty. In most cases killing 1 person will not get you the death penalty.
