Yeah, you can do it by going to 3D mode in options.

I've tried it out, works ok but isn't that great. Best effect is smashing blocks above you and watching the bits fall down

I just found a pair of red/blue in an old 3D movie dvd case. As optical said, not that great. It really just messes up the colouring, makes it pretty bad.
