Server Ip: smp.opticraft.net

The server is now updated to 1.7.8, so feel free to update your clients.

Currently the update, which doesn't add any features that would affect us, is not supported by the server. Keep this in mind if you decide to update, and remember you can downgrade back to 1.7.5 in the game launcher.

Before anyone asks, I anticipate we will update to this within the next 24 hours, assuming no major issues.

thanks guys

1.7.8 is now live, everything, including disguises should be working. If you encounter any troubles, let me know!

i know you already know of this problem but just wanted to let people know if there are any delays and the server isn't updated straight away it's because the inventories were mixed up or something.

Is there any major additions to 1.7.9?

Bukkit updates from 1.7.5 to 1.7.9 have been to prepare servers for the new UUID change (Minecraft username changing)
Nothing has changed visible in-game, but a lot of code has gone into supporting UUID.

Confused? More info on the switch to UUID here.

Is minecraft username changing only on servers or actually changing your name on your whole minecraft account?

Changing your Minecraft username will affect any Minecraft related thing. So yes, your whole account.

I actually enjoy my name despite the contacts, so im not changing mine.
