Hi,

The server has been updated to 1.7, HOWEVER, this is a limited update until bukkit is fully updated itself. This means that this update only allows 1.7 clients to connect. It does not implement any of the new 1.7 features. These will be released once a stable build of bukkit is ready.

In short: Update to 1.7, but no 1.7 features available yet.

Thanks Optic! Is this the spigot build, and if so, should we be expecting instability until we get a full Bukkit release?

It is, and yes there may be some instability, but I don't expect it to be significant - but it is too early to say with confidence what it will be like.

Thank you optical

Woo thanks! ^_^

not a fan of the sugarcane D:

Thank you very much indeed for this extra update!

Most efficacious!

Update to 1.7 but no new 1.7 features? I don't quite follow.

Protocol update only. Afaik there aren't any bukkit compatible builds which also implement 1.7 features?

Yeah there's isn't. I was just curious as to why we updated to an unstable Spigot build without 1.7 features, when people begging for the update are mainly begging because of the new features.

It is awesome that you were able to find another way to keep the server up. Thanks Opti!

Just as a guess, new players will be joining with 1.7, and due to the rework, the server will appear to be down. This limits the number of new players we could get on the server considerably.

Pretty much this.  People are lazy, once they update their clients they just usually don't come back until the server updates. Plus 1.6.4 has been having log in problems as of late.

Just because we don't have a server icon, it wouldn't appear to them as down.  They can look at the player number/slots.

Thanks
