I want you guys to make up a reason why a ghast's eyes are full of tears.  This should be fun!

-Their explanation published in a book and get their own copy

-A potion of invisibility

Because they Have to look at Lava all day and live in Hell.

 Well, It started the day minecraft was discoverd, the Ghasts were a peaceful group until Steve has found a passage to enter their home teritory. They were curious at first, until their beloved cheif became too close and got stabbed. The blood from the cheif splattered all over the nether, The blood became so warm, it slowly formed into magma. The Ghasts became so mournful that every generation would have tears since. Because of the death of their cheif, the Ghasts were devoted to spitting balls of fire at every player they see.

They are the children that never got to see adulthood. Their tears are the tears of the damned, forever doomed to that hell. They cry for their mothers, their fathers, for warmth. The fireballs are they only release of anguish they have, they throw them, hoping to destroy the hell theyre trapped in.

Because they are a fat, deformed, albino, squid who was damned to hell.

they're not crying.... they just live in a world that's constantly on fire and get smoke in their eyes because they fly to close to the ceiling.....

They used to be happy... Until the evil group so called "players," were eating out power bows. The ghasts were actually very happy. Until, the group of players had used their bows on the ghasts, groins, and made them hurt in pain. As the ghasts friends saw him in pain, they had started crying, thus how they have lots of tears.

Ghasts cry because Players make up stories about them.

HOW DO YOU THINK YOU'LL FEEL IF SOMEONE KEPT SHOOTING ARROWS AT YOU!?!?!?!?

Because it's too hot in the Nether to open your eyes. He cries because his eyes are burning. Even when they are closed.

The ghasts do not cry because they live in hell,  and they're not sad at all.  In fact they are laughing to the point where they tear up.  What are they laughing at?...  YOU!  Ghasts are the biggest trolls/jerks in history,  they laugh because they know you are scared to death when you first get into the nether and you have no idea what to do.  So they all gang up on you and kill you like your a noob.  So the next time a ghast is "crying" and you feel sympathy for it just remember there trolling you...  and you must killl them.

Ghasts cry because they feel bad when the blazes call them fatties.
