OK so I got off and and got back on (to Opticraft) and it says a bunch of random sentences that have to do with the error. Here is all I can see upon it: "Failed to log in: java.IOException:Server returned HTTP response..." then everything else is mixed up together. Please help me find out what going on. My internet is good btw.

I seem to be having the same problem. Cannot connect, then it says a bunch of mixed together stuff.

I'm also having the same problem, one time I got on but then I was lagging so I tried to reconnect but it did the jumbled up words thing. I was wondering if it was just me! Now it says I cannot connect to Minecraft.Net.

The Minecraft servers are working too hard. I made a topic about it.
Here you can see it for yourself: http://www.minecraft.net/

"Its an issue with minecraft.net this has happened a few times in the past, basically it will resolve itself when someone near the servers notices whats up and kicks notch Tobias in the leg till he flips the reset switch."
Sources: Yahoo answers, minecraft.net forums
Note: Thanks arsenic_shark I corrected my error.

Im afraid your wrong there 500, its not Notch its Tobias.
There's a person you should follow on twitter, Tobias(Hes the guy in charge of Minecraft.net and therefore the login servers.) He basically was saying it was bottle necked then said the problem lies with merged accounts. Not his fault but he has to pick up the broken pieces.
Oh and before people say its craftbukkit its not, they recently released a recommended build which should be stable. If there is lag or crashes its because of the plugins mainly, they still might not be properly updated.
