so you guys don't lose all hope:

we're in the process of throwing around ideas for a pvp system. looks like we'll definitely be getting some PvP or competitive action sometime in the future.

There you have it. It is in the plans so please no more PvP suggestions. If you have PvP ideas that could help post under this.

Thank you, this was needed.

I have an idea for PvP, it shouldn't be added.
In my eyes it's helping the suggestion because I don't want a PvP arena or anything.

Most players are used to pvp or want it. It would be good to have. Tho just for a certain area. Servers that are all pvp suck. It will be interesting to see what the brilliant minds of opticraft come up with.

From what we talked about (again, these were potential ideas, and in no way were these ideas confirmed) there would be a range of different PvP games like 20v20 games, capture the flag, king of the hill, destroy the enemy base etc.

I'm certain that if the PvP system was to be put in place, there will be several implementations to suit the server. Such as a dedicated chat to each game, an inventory restorer, exp restorer and what not to keep players happy.

We have all heard your cries, we know you want PvP. But please refrain from making topics nagging for PvP.

That is why I stikckied this deekay. I was tired of all the new topics. Also the quote I used was from cshurz in a different PvP topic. And please refrain from arguments. Just use this thread to express ideas to help the staff understand the type of PvP that people prefer.

I actually can't wait for the day that PVP arenas get added to the server.  I hope I'm the first moderator to get a, "___ cheated and killed me, help!", ticket...  I'll take a page from Rorshack's journal;

ViperZeroOne's Journal, The Day PVP is Added;

This server is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The ravines are extended caves and the caves are full of blood and when the ravines finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their Arenas for PVP will foam up about their waists and all the Trusteds and Members will look up and shout "Recover my lost items!"... and I'll whisper "no."

Lolwut are you smoking?

Very provocative imagery there, Mr.ViperZeroOne. Upon reading that, I imagined the ravine being a huge Cheshire grin with cave entrances being the eyes.

Oh, symbolism. How clever art thou?

Haha, I take it nobody watched "The Watchmen"?.... Best line out of the whole movie, though I edited it a bit.

I don't think any of us would've recognized that quote if nobody said anything... o_O

Heh, good one.  I think Rorshack is my favorite "super hero" of all time, just due to the fact he sees the world for what it truly is.

I think PvP would add a new and fun thing to this server.
