Opticraft Community

I know of two people that play on Opticraft and use X-Ray Texture Packs.
I know this because I spoke to them about this in real life.
They know it is against the rules, I have asked them to stop.
But they continue to use it.

Please can a lesson be taught to these cheaters?

I agree they need to be taught a lesson

I see great moral values here.
Guys, since you told it on the public forum, the Mods will check their mines and probably they will get banned.

Are you friends with those people? ( i must know to compose a suitable answer)

It's my friends little brother and his friend.
I don't particularly like them...
But I don't want them to get a permanent ban I just want a lesson to be learnt.
But a longish time, 1-2 months? Or is that too harsh? I don't really know...

Probably its too late to regret. 99% they will get a perma, and 1% one-time warning..

Anyway, the SMP Ops and mods will decide about that..

I'm sure that a 1 month ban would be good enough, as he goes on it every day.

I'd say inform your friend about that and if he doesnt do anything tell a mod ingame with a pm just dont post 'a wanted picture of them' out here for everyone to see.
I wanted to say more but i ll try to pm you ingame..

We'll investigate their mines. (I can't - busy-).
If you have any evidence to support your claim, that will make our job a bit easier.

and Xray users are almost always permanent.

This is is one of the 1% of exceptions.

I was round my friends house today and we were installing a texture pack (he didn't know how) and I saw in the texture pack folder was an x-ray texture pack. Its not really solid proof, but its all I got.
I do know that he uses it to find mob spawners for the chests, he found a cat music disk and a saddle, if that helps.

I agree, they probably shall be perma-banned

(on a side note : Removed offtopic post.)

Feeling kinda bad now...

Justice is never bad!

You've done us a favour, and (most likely) prevented us from grief, and prolonging the life of the map :-D

You did the right thing. The bigger picture is always more important, personal feelings aside.
