As long as old guest doesn't get deleted.

Yes, there will be lots of fun stuff outside.  But I don't want to add outside stuff yet till I know where all the inside stuff will go. I'd hate to have to tear up a ship wreck or a giant squid because I later discover they have been inconveniently placed.

More progress!!  I spent quite a while hollowing out my downtown dome.  It was such a big project I even went and bought a beacon to help me with the task.  Once I finally reached a suitable depth I started filling up all that space.  In addition to the bank and my fancy French restaurant, I now have a movie theater and a train station.

Train Station:

The floor:

The ceiling:

I have a cafe one floor up overlooking the station:

Movie Theater:

With a balcony too:

Ticket/concession counter & entrance:

Entrance to balcony & restrooms are upstairs:

And yes, no movie theater is complete without the projector booth:

(oh and there is a switch for the lights in the theater)

I made a desk:

It also works as a credenza/sideboard:

Or an end table:

I'm open to suggestions on improving the shadows.

Ok, Aquain now has a bank!  I've still got some work to do, but enough is done for me to show off a bit.

PICS!!!!

First National Bank of Aquain, one of the largest buildings downtown:

Upon entering you are greeted by our friendly bank teller, ready to help you with any simple transaction:

Down the stairs are small offices where you can meet with an account manager for more involved assistance:

Down another floor and you find the entrance to the vault.  There is a working redstone keypad to the left (that Hopper built!!).

If you put in the correct code the vault door opens:

Here is the inside of the vault:

I still need to add offices on the upper levels, make some new textures, and do a few more interiors, but I wanted to acknowledge the awesome work Hopper did with the vault door and pass lock.  Hopper rocks!

And a new floor texture!  I spent half the day working on this one:

I based it off of the terrazzo floor at the Edison Hotel in New York:

Design you a whole texture pack?  haha, no.  You can see how little I've gotten done on this one after working on it for like 10 months, heh.

I'm glad you like it!  Much of it is a mix of stuff I took from other packs, but there are several things I made myself.  I did a few quick mock-ups just to show off all the textures I created myself:

- The clock and news cast paintings are animated (though the current version of Optifine doesn't seem to handle painting animations).
- The fridge is two dispensers stacked on each other with a vertical ctm
- The oven is a furnace, and the washing machine is a dropper
- The red carpet is red wool, using a repeat ctm
- The wood floor is spruce planks, also a repeat ctm
- The ceiling is the bottom of orange wool
- The pipe is netherfence
- The green wallpaper is the sides of magenta wool, vertical ctm
- The keypad is a wooden button and the light is a torch

- The floor is the top of brick blocks, normal/classic ctm
- The yellow wallpaper is the sides of orange wool, vertical ctm
- The ceiling (used as a floor in the other pics) is cobblestone slab, repeat ctm
- The grocery shelves are cyan wool sides, random ctm
- Flower pots are... flower pots.

Or, alternately, here is a version of it that is a bit bigger:

I really like the idea of pushing the limits of the textures.  I hate having everything in the game fit into the same standardized cubes.  This one breaks that by having the appearance of two 'tiles' that in fact are split between three different blocks.  When it lines up appropriately in my hallway when it looks like you have two full tiles it looks amazing.  However when it gets split up differently and it gets cut off mid-tile, it looks a bit off.

Is that worth the price?  I don't know.  Anyone have a preference between this screen shot and the one in the previous post?
