As i enter the scarred battlefield i notice a abundance of leftover items from the many who tried taking the hill. I pick up some black clothes from a dead ninja that was shot in the head(must've not been a very good ninja). After i put on the clothes the sun starts to set. I decide to lurk close to the debris and dead so I have cover all the way to the hill. I finally have the hill in my sights. I suddenly am filled with a mixture of awe and disbelief as i gaze at it. The hill has such a hypnotic feeling that makes you urn for it but at the same time you ask yourself if a moment of victory will satisfy you cause you'll surely be dead the next day. I snap back into reality when a bullet whizzes by my head. it came from the direction of the hill. As i take cover behind what looks to be the remainder of a tank. I look around for possible exit routes. I know my time is limited cause the shooter is taking more time with his shots. A bullet hits the chard metal near my face and sprays rust into one of my eyes. i decide to jump in a nearby pond to clear my vision. when i jump in i swim to the bottom to avoid the scattered shots entering the water. When i get to the bottom i realize i don't have much time to think up a plan. I look to my right i see a dead body weighed down by a log. When i saw this i realized i could still make it out. It takes a while for me to get the log off but when i do the body floats to the top of the water. As i hold on to the bottom i hope the shooter took the bait and assumed the body was me. The trick is now i have to decide how long to wait till i resurface. If i go to early the shooter might see me if he's still facing the direction of the body. It feels like an eternity after a while and my lungs are about to collapse so i resurface. To be on the safe side i float up to the other side of the body so the shooter wouldn't notice if he was still looking. As i get out of the pond i lie down next to a large rock at the base of the hill. I drift into sleep until i wake the next morning. I figure out i was asleep for 3 hours and assume the shooter is will be off his guard. I slowly but surly make my way up the hill. When i get half way i look for a possible weapon. I find a pistol missing just one bullet from being full. As i get to the ledge i peer over to see whats happening. As i look I'm horrified to see the shooter is still looking through the scope of the gun down at the battlefield. It seems he hasn't slept in days i figured from his bloodied eyes. As i lift my pistol i almost stop but the hills hypnotic feeling was stronger at the top. The hill told me to put him out of his misery, to end his suffering. As i pulled the trigger the shooter didn't have a chance to turn around. As i looked at the body a wave of madness and paranoia hit me, but not before the victory engulfed me in greed to yell, "MY HILL!"
