I doubt you care, but when it comes to my speakers, im a noob. i was doing everything normally, but randomly my sound shut off. and the volume mixer shows that the device and speakers are playing, and my applications are too but the system sounds are not. The little green things go up for everything but that. this will probably be removed due to offtopicness, but can you help?

Spyow:
Try un-plugging them plugging it back in? Lol, oldest and most efficient way in the book ;)

RuthlessTomato:
Unplugging my laptop. Got it.

Hasan (Tabooti):
Speakers, or headphones?

Control panel > Hardware & sound > sound
and just check if they are considered 'plugged in' or, if they are even enabled.

also, Check out this link. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=speakers+randomly+stopped+working

they're enabled and considered 'plugged in'. The link was cool, but after about 3 pages of nothing helpful, I stopped.

EDIT: I just opened my skype by accident(clicked the wrong thing) and PRESTO! my sound fixed!!
EDIT #2: now only my skype sounds work. Nothing else.
