Forum Problem
« on: June 16, 2013, 12:50:12 pm »
I'm having a problem scrolling with the forum.

I use Internet Explorer 10 (sue me), and after upgrading noticed that the website scroll bar is broken for me.

I can still scroll up and down using arrow keys, but not using the bar on the right. As I use a laptop, I don't have a scroll wheel.

I don't have this problem on any other website, including other SMF forums using this theme (Kani).

Also, just a note, I would appreciate if you don't bother writing "internet explorer sux, use "..."!!!111", I honestly haven't found a reason to change yet. Thanks.

Ps. Not sure if this is the right place, I know this is support for the server, not the website. If it's wrong, please move.

Not being able to scroll on a website that you go on quite a bit is as good of a reason as any lol.

Depends on what laptop you use, but some of them (mine and my parent's) are able to scroll by moving your finger up and down the right side of the touch pad.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Sadly, a mouse is not possible for the places I use a laptop, and my laptop does have that feature, but I turned it off as it kept activating when unneeded.

I was more hoping Optical or one of the dev/admins could fix the issue, considering that about 30% of the internet traffic uses IE.

it's a bug with IE 10, lrn2chrome.....

on a more helpful note u can try opening IE in compatibility mode:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1196-internet-explorer-compatibility-view-turn-off.html

or if that doesn't work reinstalling IE:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/318378

i make no promises.......
