I have been playing lots of minez lately waiting for opti-pvp to come out. I got a mineZ mod and want to have a vinalla (with optifine) and a modded version. I tried making 2 files in my %appdata% but that didn't work and I lost all of my saves and texture packs. I was wondering if anyone can help me or give me a video link to have 2 versions of minecraft. Thanks, Ryto

This needs to be moved to SMP Support.

No, it will stay here. It has nothing to do with the SMP server.

But it also has nothing to do with the Opticraft Server software.
No means of disrespect or anything Henz, but I'm going to move this to SMP Support because it fits in there more than it does the Opticraft Server software forum.

Note: Since I did move this from a previous forum, rytovius has no intention of using these mods on Opticraft. So that's out of the question.

Ya I can't play opticraft with the mods so I want to know how to make 2 minecrafts. I tried one video and lost all my saves and stuff.

Use the magic launcher, not only can u have multiple setups, you keep your minecraft.jar clean, it just adds the mods while u play and removves when its done. You can also allocate ram so much easier with this. I use this for opticraft.

Got a setup with only optifine for opticraft
And a Super Modded one for me and Morgans server
And i got other random setups like the snapshots and so on.

Give it a try
I'm Back BABY!

Alright thanks.

I just have 2 jars and exchange them. The one you want needs to be named "minecraft" you can't have both with minecraft as their names though.

That's what I wanted to do but how to you play with that jar file not the other one?

I fail to see how that is any difficult to understand...

Rename one of your jar files as whatever, and rename the other one that you want to use as "minecraft" in your bin folder. It really isn't that hard to understand.
