The third addition to my mini casino. My Diabolical Lever Game WARNING: This game will drive you insane. How it Works:A) There's a Lamp B) There's a Lever C) Turn the lamp on Rules:1) Only one player at a time. 2) You play until you leave the room. 3) Leaving the room for ANY REASON means you lose. (this includes a disconnect) 4) /homes are not allowed inside of the lever room under any circumstances. 5) ABSOLUTELY NO HINTS! 6) ABSOLUTELY NO LOOKING AT THE CIRCUIT (especially mods/ops). 7) ABSOLUTELY NO DISCUSSING STRATEGY, what happens in the room, stays in the room. Breaking any rules disqualifies you from ever playing the diabolical lever game again and forfeits any winnings you may be owed from it. Cost/PayoutThe game Costs $1000 and you play until you decide to leave the room for ANY REASONshould you manage to light the lamp up you get $5000 this is a net profit of $4000 Side Note:Believe it or not, it is actually possible to light the lamp, I've done it myself. I built a new gambling game to coincide with my slot machine! How it Works:In this game the player chooses a number between 0 and 9 (inclusive) and places a bet of $500-$1000 on that number. I then pull a lever generating a random number which gets sent to a 7 segment display. (random number generation is the same as my slot machine, except in this case i use 4 bits instead of 5) if the two numbers match then the player receives 5x their bet as the payout. getting no lights gives you a respin (a number 10-15, note: these are left over digits from using 4 bit binary, 4 bits generates numbers from 0000 to 1111(bin) or 0 to 15(dec) and you can only display 0-9 on a single 7 segment display, there's a 3 in 8 chance to get a respin) Betting:bets range from $500-$1000 the payout for guessing the right number is 5x the bet $2500-$5000 payout $2000-$4000 profit there's 10 possible numbers (0-9) you choose 1 number hence the chances of winning are 1 in 10 Side Note:unlike my slot machine which is rather small and simple in design this machine uses a 4 bit binary to 7 segment decoder which is quite large and tedious to build therefore i am not willing to build/help build one for you, if you are interested in building one you can use a tutorial such as this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_17Og7fodusSee Also:A link to the post about my slot machine http://www.opticraft.net/index.php/topic,14005.0.htmlPictures

So I'm thinking of adding a high stakes number game next to my slot machine. And as the decoder can be pretty big, even compact designs, I wanted to see if this is something people would be interested in first PLEASE GIVE FEEDBACK!!!
Idea Basically it'd use a 4-bit random number generator hooked up to a decoder then to a 7 segment display (ex: number on a clock) and that would let the player see it as a 1 digit decimal number ranging from 0-9, you the player would place a bet on a number and I would trigger the Rng to pop out a number, if its a match you win 5x your bet as opposed to the 1x/2x/3x of my slots
betting Bets would range from $500-$1000
There would be only a 5x payout for guessing the number correctly
there's 10 numbers so a 1 in 10 chance to win
A wining bet would payout $2500-$5000 Netting a profit of $2000-$4500 depending on the initial bet
Notes I may end up making it so 0 is a free spin because otherwise I may get no number on a spin since 4-bits covers numbers from 0-15 and u can't display 10+ on a single 7 segment display and I'd rather not weight certain numbers as that would be unfair so I'll probably default 10+ to 0 and do free spins. This would benefit the customer as you'd have a 3 in 8 chance to respin and your odds of wining become 1 in 9
another option is finding a way to stack 2 displays side by side (compactly) and do numbers from 0-15 The odds of winning in this case would be 1 in 16 with no free spins
Similarly another option is to use a 3-bit Rng and do numbers 0-7 The odds of winning in this case would be 1 in 8 with no free spins
Well that's the general idea please comment if you like it/don't like it/think of a way to improve it, I want to hear any thoughts

Since a few people are curious about it, a few think it's rigged, and others just love it, i thought i'd make a post with some details on it. How it Works:The Slot Machine is based on a 5 digit binary random number generator that produces values from 00000 to 11111, or for those that don't speak binary, 0-31, giving us a total of 32 possible outcomes. With my version getting 00000, or no lights turned on, gives you a free spin, this effectively removes one possible outcome as it's essentially not spinning, which leaves us 31 possible permutations (outcomes) i allow bets from $100-$500 rewarding prizes for 3, 4 and 5 lights in a row yielding 1x/2x/3x payout respectively. This can pay the player $100-$1500 for a winning spin given what they bet, yielding a profit of $0(money returned)-$1000 The theoretical statistics are as follows(0 = light off, 1 = light on): 1x: there's 3 possible ways out of 31 to get 3 lights in a row, 11100, 01110, 00111 hence 3 in 31 chance to win your money back 2x: there's 2 possible ways out of 31 to get 4 lights in a row 11110, 01111 hence 2 in 31 chance to win twice your bet 3x: there's 1 possible way out of 31 to get 5 lights in a row 11111 hence 1 in 31 chance to win three times your bet. Link to a tutorial on building the random number generator (i simply expanded the concept to 5 outputs instead of 3, and linked them into redstone lamps):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtYoKcG67QgSide Note:if anyone would like to steal the idea feel free, it's quite profitable while still being a lot more fair than most of the current other slot machines on the server. Not to mention flashing lights is more addictive than watching wool pop out of a dispenser See Also:A link to the post on my High Stakes Numbers Game http://www.opticraft.net/index.php/topic,14070.0.html#Pictures *edit* i did a /binary fail, 11111 = 31 not 63 so there's only 32 possible outcomes, however this actually improves the odds of the player winning so no harm no foul. updated the post to reflect this with the exception of the screenshot im too lazy to upload again

City name: Project name?: Tiggy's Love Palace City location (coordinates, not biome, include world name): Member World ~ x:2850, z:500 Contributors: just me, it's kinda my member world baby, don't fear though I've taken on larger challenges, i'm not new to building on a massive scale in the least. Mayor (Only one - this is the zone owner): Tiggy26668 Approximate dimensions: x:2730 z:320 to x:2950 z:660 is about the best i reckon from the live map. you can see it yourself here there's a wall outlining the area http://smp.opticraft.net/map/#/2887/64/467/-3/1/0Number of active residents: it's a project not a city so 0, though i have the intention of creating an underground city in the same requested area once i'm done with my palace Number of completed, decorated and furnished buildings: well it's one massive structure and i'd hoped it'd be further along by now but nicks had me busy with another project so 0... and that 0 is at about 12% and 12% is a lot.... What state is the project in, and what are your plans for its future, if any: like i said above it's at about 12% maybe a little further, as for future plans, i'd rather not give away them all but i intend to create a little village above ground, a dragon flying in the skies above the castle, a redstone puzzle dungeon and an underground city to name a few. Why should we grant this city protection? well this palace is quite a massive undertaking and it's already attracted quite a bit of grief. as it covers such a large area and stretches from bedrock to sky limit so it's not really something i can protect with stones, which quite frankly i can't afford as i just started on smp when the member world came out. asside from the griefing bit i hope to make it into a quite magnificent scene not just a structure. a place where people can go to have fun and interact with each other as well as the build through exploring/redstone puzzles and it'd be nice to let people in without fearing i missed a corner with a ps. in my mind honestly i would have waited to apply until i got it to like 25% complete, which would be about the entire castle part finished but given a recent rash of breaking in and my inability to devote a lot of time to it until i finish another project(thanks nick )i figured i'd shoot for it a little sooner

Questions in the subject, I'm looking for ideas. Nothing too massive, should b able to build it in a 100x100x75 area.
Pretty much anything goes buildings/organic/scene/redstone ill find a way to make it
Nothing overdone however ex:house/castle
No sprites, it needs to b 3d
And it should b something you would like to randomly come across
Ex: a bunny or a buried temple
can't say where it's goin, but the winner well.... Wins...
So any ideas?

So i'm trying and talk nick into making a world on classic for a panda army.... what i'm thinking of at the moment is a world that depicts a dragons nest, with a giant dragon in the center, some eggs and baby dragons around the sides. The nest would be made to appear as though it was on the side of a cliff, maybe even create a night sky instead of looking at the ever immobile sun. Then there would be hundreds of various size/shaped/geared pandas swarming the nest, some climbing on the big dragon trying to pull it down with ropes, while other pandas shoot at it from afar. there would also be groups of pandas going around taking out the eggs/babies and some bigger "siege pandas" on the sides launching like lava rocks or something. and most importantly there'll be a king panda climbing up the dragons neck to make the final blow =P but yea that's pretty much my idea in a nutshell.... here's some examples of "war pandas" I've been working on ignore the floating wood blocks, those are to make copy/paste easier later on i think this design looks adorably evil and if nothing else it would b funny as hell to see them taking down a dragon The first attempt at a baby dragon, also the first baby one I've ever tried making.... *New* some more pandas made by cyangriffin, Turtleman918, and mrmonkey91, and a tiny lazy one by gameguy96 =P more pics to come as i design new types/poses for them Ideas/Comments/Criticism leave um below i'd love some feedback If you'd like to design a panda or any piece of the idea toss a statue in the current builder world (builder25) in the corner and if this succeeds i might use it in the final product (try to keep the proportions similar to what's already there, i wanna keep them small and adorable) NO DUPLICATES PLEASE! Nick, if u read this lemme know what u think

Ingame name: tiggy26668 Join date: Feb 16, 2012 Briefly describe all your creations: so far on this server I've created a panda ripping the head off a creeper, a panda riding a dragon carrying a sword and flag, an upside down collage of a beach house w/ blimp and boat adjacent, a replica model of my skin at the time (Goku), a Painted Turtle, and a whale killing a seal that's stabbing a panda in the back, that killed a penguin when last i was rejected you were "interested in seeing another structure type build" so i spent 12 hrs and created a nice little tower for your consideration. it was made on guest and can now be found on recruit, though due to an oversight in transport it gained an extra office floor and lost the top globe, which is why the pattern changes in the middle between some pictures. Added: 3rd times the charm? this time we have an epic little sand castle, it's made entirely of sand with the exception of the flags and floor, and uses the natural lighting of guest world to project shadows emphasizing the architecture of the castle, if that's not builder material i dunno what is.
