Croteau1234, thank you for the apology; it goes a long way towards earning back some respect. The ban is still valid though, as you did in fact grief rails and powered rails.
Just so we're clear, you aren't banned permanently. Your ban is set to expire on the 29th- in 3 more days. At that point in time, you'll be more than welcome to return and play with us again.

I am sorry it has taken me a few days to answer your appeal, but any info you want to include about your appeal should be edited into the existing post, not PM'ed to the staff member. I am not clear on just what you think happened here... When ditto111 asked for help with grief, there was something built onto his treehouse where nothing had been before... Ditto was surprised to see something built there at all. If you were allowed to build on one part of Ditto's build but then decided to build elsewhere on HIS build, that is still considered grief. If this isn't what happened, please elaborate a little more clearly because as it is, I'm not sure exactly what you're trying to say.

I can see how what you said was misunderstood; when I read "yes but I no longer have it anymore", I thought you meant that you had used X-ray in the past (not necessarily that day). I accept this explanation, and I apologize for misunderstanding what you'd meant.
I accept that you no longer think it was a good idea to stick up for Copperwood; I am still certain that you were aware that whatever method Copperwood was using to find ores was not honest, regardless of how he was actually doing it.
Furthermore... this is your fourth ban, though one of your prior bans was only 1 day in length...
I'm willing to give you one last chance; I will remove the permanent ban, and instead shorten it to two weeks. Be warned: if you so much as sneeze in the wrong direction, your next ban will be permanent and remain so.

Thank you for the frank apology, but it's completely invalidated when you continue to make excuses and lie.
You admitted it in chat: "yes but I no longer have it anymore"... you know exactly what xray is, and have used it previously. Pretending otherwise does not help you.
I see no reason whatsoever to approve your appeal at this time, though I will leave this open pending copperwood's appeal, should he make one.

I would prefer that Copperwood submits his own ban appeal. Though you were both banned related to the same offence, you are two different players. As far as proof of your own offence (knowingly using xray to cheat), I was tipped off by copperwood calling out in global chat that 'there's diamond under the gravel'... While invisible I watched him call out to you where he saw/found ores that were hidden by solid blocks, which you then mined and divvied up. It is very obvious that there was no other way for him to have found that initial diamond ore, or that you could really believe it was just luck that you both made parallel holes through earth and stone and stopped almost immediately on top of diamond. Whether you personally had xray installed when I banned you or not, it was very obvious that you were taking knowing advantage of copperwood's use of the mod/texture pack. If that weren't already enough to incriminate you, when I made clear that I was prepared to ban you as well, you admitted to having X-ray previously... That alone would have been enough to ban you...

Hello tntboy632, it's very nice of you to help your sister write her appeal...
This wasn't the first time your sister had griefed on the server; it was the 5th time. If she truly didn't know what she was doing, I wonder why there's such a gap between her prior 4 bans which were from grief traps; at least a month in between them and no other reports of grief from players. This means she was picking the places to grief carefully. I'm not sure I believe that she didn't know what she was doing.
Furthermore, if she doesn't know what she's doing well enough to refrain from griefing, how can we be assured that she'll know enough about what she's doing to follow the rules once allowed back on?
I am also very, very sorry for the deep emotional impact this ban is having on both of you; unfortunately crying doesn't bring back people's builds.
If you can perhaps explain to me how you'll help your sister understand what our rules are and how not to grief, then I'll consider pardoning her.

I apologize for how long you've waited for my reply... As Zera said, I'd had to take a short leave from opti.
This ban was not in fact in accident; I'd found a huge amount of grief by your friend Alex. Granted, this grief was partly the harvesting of a farm that did not belong to him, but the fact remains that there were over 400 blocks of grief found in the area. The scale of this grief is why the ban was set to be permanent.
I will pardon your friend when I log back in this afternoon because it was his first ban and you've both waited awhile for my reply to your appeal. Hopefully he'll keep in mind to only break his own blocks in the future.

I accept this explanation because I did find that you'd removed wood blocks that you'd just placed in that exact area, adjacent to the blocks that were left behind. I don't know how the water came to be altered in the first place, but considering your honest answers and that you were trying to repair the build (not damage it), I accept your appeal and I'm pardoning you as soon as I log in.

Hello Buglet, Firstly, thank you for the very considerate and well-worded appeal... I've attached images of what I found at Lazer's home; there was also some grief to the water that isn't shown in the screenshots as it had already been repaired. From the block history timestamps, it appears the grief was done around 1:45 am CST. Lazer wasn't online when I went to look into the timestamps of the grief so I was unable to get their confirmation that you share their build, but to your credit when I answered the grief ticket and told Lazer whose name was on the grief, they replied ":O", so it did come as a shock to them... I would like to get this cleared up as fairly as possible. If you do recognize the modifications pictured, please let me know; there's no doubt the grief was done using your account but I'd like to speak with Lazer to see if this was very out of character. Also, because you're concerned that your account may be compromised, could you go to the site http://www.whatismyip.com to find your external IP address and send it to me in a private message so I can compare it to the IPs the server has logged from your account? I'd also advise you to immediately change your Minecraft password at minecraft.net, and ensure your PC's virus protection is up to date. I'll wait for your reply, GirlLuvzerMac

Hey, just to clarify something, the time you get banned is the time we put in the ban command; in this case, I was fixing a particularly griefed area of the memberworld and found a house where you'd removed logs from fadmad1998's build. This was done at the beginning of January, to a house that was made mostly of brick.

Lying gets you nowhere... In your ban history:
-Griefed 4 separate grief traps (no, they aren't all full of holes, I doubt you only placed cobble to get out. If it were true, why didn't you appeal? All. Four. Times.)
-Griefed two separate players' houses, as caught and banned by BigBadHenz
And then today, I come to investigate chests you asked me to remove. Turns out you and your buddy (brother?) have dismantled the whole neighborhood in the spirit of expansion! Since I banned you, I've found no fewer than 4 other builds you've griefed to the ground. You have no respect for others' builds, our rules or our server.
I also warn you that if I find you've been playing on your friend/brother's account after he's unbanned for his part in the grief, he will be permanently banned as well to protect our members' builds.
Ban appeal is denied.
