Slimes!!!

Wow you must have like 4 slime chunks in there or something! I've mined out a similar setup (except I extended the height to abotu 5 layers each with a height of 3. I RARELY get 3 or 4 slimes to spawn in an hour :/
I wonder if it's possible for optical to physically see minecraft making its calculations for generating slimes and if it really is broken or not.
