As a person who has (Apart from Minecraft 1.8 Jar when I discovered I hated 1.0.0) never pirated a game/film/music, I feel that I am able to say that it does not influence Notch, passing the game from a person who has paid him money, to another person who has paid him money. I feel that any arguement against it is pretty stupid, and will happily share my Jar privatly with anyone who pms me by email.
I don't want to use some stupid tool, especially as my main use for the Jar is when I am experimenting with mods.

I don't support, or like mojang. Especially Notch, who seems to be taking all the praise for making Minecraft, instead of sharing it with the team, when as far as I know, he has abandoned Minecraft for Scrolls and left it for others to do. But that is not the point.
If they choose to take action against me, or even ask me to stop, so be it, I will stop. But, as of now, I see the lack of downgrading stupid, unless they gave much more support for modders. If I see a patch in a game and think it will ruin it, unless it is multiplayer (For balancing issues or whatever), I can choose to downgrade. I don't see this for Mojang.
I do find Mojang's attitude as a whole quite a joke, they often go back on things they have said (Example: Dragons), ruin the games (Food bar, potions, "Cavemen squidwards" etc.) and yet do not allow you to downgrade. They provide little support to modders, which they would be nothing without, and are trying to squeeze as much money out as possible while the game still lasts. I wouldn't be suprised if they started doing "pay for items" for capes or better skins or whatever.
