Donation chest

If we are giving donation rewards for beta, I think I got one:
Virtual Chest. This basically allows you to use /chest (There is also a /workbench command).These open up "virtual" chests and workbenchs that you can access on the go. It wouldn't give you a massive advantage, but it would be useful.
What do you guys think?

P.S. It is a bukkit mod, I have seen it used on another beta server (As a donation reward), and it works with permissions, but this is not required.

So it basically doubles your inventory, I'm not sure if i support this because it would give you an advantage. But in the end it's up to optical.

This is SMP, when you die, you lose stuff, when you lose stuff, it makes it more challenging and fun. These chests will make it too easy and not as fun.

This is a likely donation reward that I looked into. It will never be free however.

It pretty much takes the challenge out of mining, if you find a diamond, put it into ur chest, then there are almost no consequences when you die.

If you die, you would loose tools and armour, and probably more. It may make dying less "painful" but you still won't want to die...

I think they should, because if you can check any chest you want right now, why not be able to check the virtual ones.

There is a command /chest [player] for ops. I think this is what you mean. Why would you need to check though? Item theft isn't really a big thing on the server, as all chests are protected for free, and you have block history for grief.

Item theft is not the problem, when i check someones chest and they have 64 diamonds and i have not seen them on a lot, i get suspicious. This is actually how i found out one guy was stealing diamonds from mortens hotel, and one of the ways we found out spartan was using an xray mod.

it's a nice idea, a bit of a bump ahead for the people willing to donate. people could also not bother with it though, i know i find it annoying typing in commands over and over =p

That makes sense, I get you now. To be honest I don't think somebody who takes the money to donate will break the rules, but yeah, its always worth a check.

And wow about Spartan 0_o. From Op --> Crafter --> Op --> Crafter --> Banned (I think? Or just demoted) in classic, and banned in beta :/

I dont see a problem with the being a reward I'm just stating it would give a big advantage.
