Ok First im playing this game alot cuz i like the building things but guys after half an hour of playing my lap top turns off automatically and i dunno wats wrong? im only facing this with minecraft ONLY pla HELP me!

Possible causes:
1) Overheat
2) Out of battery

Possible fixes:
1) Make sure laptop is on a cool surface that doesn't trap heat in
2) Plugin laptop in. Lol.

use a compressor to blow out all the dust in the vents.

This, i do this to my desktop at least once a month and the temps drop by a ton.

I myself went and bought a laptop cooling pad much like this one: http://i.imgur.com/FnTSu.jpg

It works pretty well, especially when doing a lot of CPU intensive things (Minecraft).  I'll have to try blowing out my fan though, sounds like a good idea and mine is probably really clogged considering I have a dog that sheds tons of fur.

But yeah... It's always when I play minecraft that my laptop's fan whizzes at high speeds. I have a plastic support that keeps the laptop off of my blankets on my bed, because that was what contributed to several overheats.

The transformer does get a little hot, but not enough to start any fires, but it does get to the point where it could burn my hand if I held it for too long...

My laptop is a P.O.S and overheats all the time so i just bought this.

It was about 25$ and i have't overheated since.

ok maybe its because over heating issues so i also bought a cooling pad lol

mine is toshiba satelite l500 13v with intel core i3 inside and win7 ultimate and 4gb ram with amd hd graphic  card im suffering for the heat things it becomes hot from the first 10 min !

but sometimes when i open games like crysis 2 and nfs shift 2 unleashed ,when i start the game it closes so its nt with heat right?

i have a desktop and every ten minutes my monitor goes black for about 2 seconds ., again only on minecraft

maybe its with ur graphic card or the screen cant take 16 bit games :S
