Minecraft on other platforms
« on: May 23, 2011, 10:27:43 am »
I thought it would be a good idea if minecraft was on others platforms, especially wii. Wii would be great as you can point at the screen and move around with the nunchuck and press

A build
B destroy
Z Jump
1 Change block
2 Change Block reverse
C respawn.

Tell me what you guys think. Also tell me if you have a wii

I would be good, but i doubt it will happen since i dont think it would sell very well on a system like the wii.

Meh, wii remotes are so hard to use sometimes. I wouldn't buy it, because i mean to have a choice from using it on wii or computer..IDK. If it were real i'd only pay like 5 bucks.  :P

Also, there will be a successor launched next year. If it is more PC based would it be better?
- (minus) for set spawn
What about 3DS, That would make creepers jumping out look awesome.
A Jump
Analogue stick for move
R change block
L change block reverse
Touch screen for rest.

I don't see minecraft becoming popular on any other platform but the PC.

People just group the Mac with the PC since there are a small number of macs compared to PC's.

The population of Macs grow as more and more people find that windows is rubbish.

Macs are over priced, old pieces of hardware. A PC can do everything a mac can at twice the speed for half the cost. I would never own a mac.

If you have an iPhone you'd know it has a very responsive touchscreen. It also has many features such as a gyro (4th gen devices only.) That woul make up for it. No offence to any android owners but minecraft on android would suck. Especially as some have poor quality touch screens and some lack features that other have, restriction cool features that the devs can implement.

3DSware would be great, but it cost much more than iPhone for a liscense.
If someone got a program which allows you to create, edit and view multiple image files I could possibly create a 3D minecraft image. If anybody wants me to I can create a cross eyed 3D image.

They have a minecraft classic type app (eden world builder) On the the iphone right now but i dont like it, The iphone is not powerful enough to have a decent draw distance and the controls are pretty bad.

By the way, certain android phones are more powerful than the iphone so it would be at least a tiny bit better for certain android phones.

I kinda had a vision that Minecraft would be available for other platforms... but the implications for such a thing would be massive and complicated-- and the licensing is the biggest issue. That's where most of the money goes into.

I think that if minecraft does go into platforms, it would most likely be the Adventure mode-- NOT survival.
