A "Rolling" Neather
« on: November 09, 2013, 04:26:10 pm »
As I am sure a few of us know, pretty much the only way to get quartz is in the market, should a neather be created (with  a warp to it for ex) it would allow everyone to have access to quartz. Being that it rolls over say, every week it wouldn't turn into a wasteland and everyone would have an oppertunity

When the update with quartz came out, the nether borders were extended and gave everyone a great chance to get quartz for a couple of weeks.  You had your chance.

so if you weren't here during the update, no quartz for you!

Kidding, but I like this idea. However we will get a new world and new nether soon.

I guess that's true Gavin, but we all know it will take about a few weeks for every single piece of quartz in a 1,000 block radius to be taken.

Days*

But if we did this, Quartz would lose its value

You realize some people have really cool nether builds. Have fun with all the complaints if this happens.

Today I went mining to see if this was as big of an issue as it seems...

I got 11 Stacks of quartz and 9 stacks of glowstone.  You just need to get away from the spawn area.  Also realized that mining quartz is a great way to level up. I got to level 47 before noticing how high it was.
