Worked fine for me, needed a lot of lighting updates although. Try deleting your bin folder?

Do this:
1. download optifine.
2. go into .minecraft with %appdata% (or library>application support>minecraft if you're on a mac).
3. go into the "bin" folder and locate your .jar
4. open the .jar with winrar or 7zip.
5. open the optifine folder as well.
6. drag all of the files from the optifine folder to the .jar
7. close everything
8. PLAY!

I did not ask how to Download it I asked For help To get Meta-Inf File back so I can redo everything. and hopefully delete the CLASS files.

yea, once the game sees that there is no .minecraft, it makes one.

You can save them anywhere (I put it on my desktop) just don't change the name. When you delete and re install the .minecraft folder delete the save file there and replace it with the save file you had saved somewhere else.

Um, I mean where do I find the folders for my Worlds so I can save them to my desktop or somewhere else.

Also, I have to save My current .Minecraft file then Replace it by dragging the File I had saved (Which would be the same).

Is anyone here forgetting about the whole "Force Update" thing?

Doing force update will get you a fresh .jar file with the META-INF file in it...

I think i know your issue.

I believe you dragged and dropped the optifine.zip file into the whole .jar,

You have to open it, copy, and then drag it into your .jar.

Xeadin, I think there is some issue with some of the files not being deleted, maybe that was the incident for him?

When you open up your .jar file, do you see the .zip file that says optifine?

If you do, then delete it. Then just to make sure, Force Update minecraft, then read my last post to help.
