Gotta clear something up about atlantis- doing something entirely underwater is not really easy to do. Mistakes will be made and water will have to be replaced continuously- it just doesn't really seem like it would work. But by all means if there is a better way to do, do share.

Also, being underwater will make everything look not as good, because the water blocks a lot of light and makes everything harder to see.

Just make Atlantis THEN put water over it (make sure you fill atlantis first though).

The view range under water is pathetic anyway, I think you can see like 10 blocks away at max

Exactly. Once its made it would all be a fuzzy blue world where you cant see past the person in front of you.

we could do atlantis as a giant city, in a big glass dome underwater. i guess?

Sounds much better but could defeat the point of atlantis

If we are going with a dome idea, I think it would be space themed and not Atlantis themed, like in the movies where aliens live in dome cities ;)
Big glass dome underwater is a lot like that city in Star Wars I, no?

If we do an underwater city I'm more for something like Rapture then like Atlantis. I might not be right but isn't Atlantis just a sunken city?
