when I was a minecraft n00b... I would just throw away all my redstone because i thought it was worthless. I also thought that squids were rare so I made a big deal about them the first time I ever saw them. And died underwater because I didn't know that water drowns in minecraft. And about pooped my pants the first time an enderman ever tried to kill me.
