Emeralds!

Not in the market. Like someone else said, it would ruin their worth. You could be able to only mine it on your own. It could be like a sign of wealth, like chicken are.
(If they were in the market, only for selling)

Personally I think emeralds should be in the market, but with prices like these:
To buy ONE emerald: $3000
To sell ONE emerald: $100
The above prices would hopefully discourage selling of emeralds to the market (thus removing them from the world altogether), and will discourage buying of them, or make it so many less emeralds are purchased thus keeping them a rare commodity. Plus with villager trading the sale price shouldn't be higher than 100 per emerald because people will find ways to trade with their villagers for lots of emeralds.

Anyone agree with this idea? It would be really nice to sell emeralds to the market even if the market doesn't pay a whole lot for them as the idea above states.

nope, emeralds will be plentiful already without being sold in the market, considering how many npc villages there are
