/Back Command Issues
« on: July 01, 2012, 05:52:34 am »
Okay, so I've learned to deal with the random changes made to the /back command over the last month or two. But now it's getting to be too much. EVERY time I hit /back from somewhere, it pops me a block or two below where it is supposed to. Somehow the last time this happened, I suffocated and died where it popped me, but when I went back to recover my things, they weren't there and I knew exactly where my /back command would be set to and it took me less than 20 seconds to get there after so they couldnt have just disappeared due to time. What is going on? Is /back going to be fixed? I lost a full set of diamond armor and tools and a stack of cooked chicken because of the /back death.

You can't die from it...

The only time /back will work is if you go /warp market get the things you need then type /back it will work fine.

/back will not work if you have died this is a survival server.

Other wise I don't recommend using the /back.

I swear I suffocated. The screen was black and I was being damaged repeatedly. Then I popped up at spawn with an empty inventory. Unless you have another explanation?

you can not die from suffocation on opticraft, as it is turned off.

Yes you can die from falling into empty space/void

There was no falling though, I immediately began taking damage. I have fallen into the void in the past as well, but when that happens you can look up and see the world above you as you fall away. I moved my view and saw nothing.

Regardless, my complaint isn't about the WAY i died, it's about the /back command being broken.

The /back command is disabled because pleyers were abusing it, eg; seeing diamond and not having a pick in their inventory so they go /home get a pick and then type /back to then mine the diamond.
That's why it was disabled, it isn't broken. Simply disabled.

EDIT: ignore all that as I was wrong. Sorry about that.

Then why does it still teleport us? If it's disabled it should be turned off completely I think to prevent accidents like this from happening.

Because (correct me if I am wrong) it is hard code and simply can not be disabled. Just don't use it...

EDIT: on a side note;  if you go to the information tab at the top, scroll down to the commands list, do you see the /back command among the list?

May I ask how that is abusive? Is it just that people were using it too much so you disabled it?
