Creative ways to prevent greifing

Yes we all know that anyone on the server with atleast $1,500 can afford a pretection stone, but thats easy. There have got to be cheaper, and yes better solutins to keeping your home and posetions away from greedy griefers. In this forum you can list a few. The more obvious ones are building underground or underwater, but after my underwater glass house was griefed, i decided to combine the two. My underwater house was in a relitivly small lake. When I was greifed, I took gome dirt from a near by area, and covered the lake with it. Now unless you know spacifficly where I live my house is nearly impossible to find! Have a redstone signal attached to every block, and then if they break it, it triggers a anti greif mechanism.

Possibly an overhead trapdoor, that once oend by the unsuspecting griefer poors lava on their head. The only problem is you would an operator to help reset it every time it was triggerd.

ok, you use a ton of pistons to make a huge ground out of sand, and attach redstone triggers to each block of your house which is on top of the sand. Griefer breaks block, entire sand floor falls out from beneath them to a drop all the way down to the bedrock where water collects the griefers inventory and sends it to the collection spot. Profit!

You could just stand there all day with /helpop Someone just griefed me already typed in and as soon as someone comes hit enter

I don't think killing the griefer will be the solution, You can get banned for that. Either make a Griefer trap without killing the person or what DiamondKnight said. Just notify a Moderator+. That is why they are there.

That would be the simplest and easiest way. And I think if it came to it that is what we would all do. Besides, your right if we kill the griefer, than what makes us any better than him? Lets try to think of some creative ways to camoflouge our buildings (or just more creative ways to kill the griefer if ou want. )

Buying a protection stone saves you from trouble.

But, I started my home underground.
I still have a really huge farm underground and underwater. Its under the bottom of the sea and it's about 18 blocks down.
I have been griefed 3 times only by people that had X-ray and saw my farm.

Althought, these 3 times, were enough to make me cover the floor and the roof with furnaces.. about 4000+ furnaces are there. Its like a cage.
Further, you can build underwater, but instead of dirt, cobble, etc, to use obsidian, with is so strong and almost impossible to break with a breath.

Some griefers have X-ray , so underground houses are useless :DDD
