So I believe a world size of maybe <80MB would work (as monkey pointed out)... However I'm not sure at what point peoples clients will crash when they enter the world. Opticals input would be nice.

Indeed it would.

I'm not sure if this varies depending on the computer specs but I've been able to enter worlds with such tall ceilings and similar areas in other servers such as "WoM realms" and they actually allow the higher ranked players to own worlds of up to 1024x1024x1024 (not to advertise or anything). Thats why I thought it would be possible to make such a big world, sorry if I troubled you relkeb  :(

However I think monkey's proposal is appropriate, even if its not what we intended, it fits just right.

Yes please build this, I love this, My building used to view the gulf in the old days but they built this and blocked the view :P
It is really good to see something like that in opticraft.
I am 100% sure if you are gonna build this, then it will replace ND because it is waaaaaay better.
btw I see my old home in the 3rd pic :D

I think that the out side isn't as amazing as ND so i wouldn't have it replace spawn, seeing how 80-90% of guests just go into portals and not walk around spawn.

A voxelised model, 1:1

oh and this is the competition :P

Not very much detail, just a very high iron building. Pretty sure we can do a lot better.

Not much competition... He can't even be bothered to do colours :/

And where can we download that voxelised model, and how to view it? I want to see the "scale" myself :P . World sizes are one thing, but an actual model is another.

Here is the model and this is the program. It lags pretty bad for me because of the size, but you can view it in slices as well.

I don't know how to install the program, it seems I need "Microsoft Developer Studio 6" to compile the files for the glut32.dll and install it into my computer, and I don't know where to find a safe download of that.
