The server's future...

Several of you are forgetting an important fact: even if we did set up a classic-like Creative server, several people would not be able to join, since they do not own full minecraft. People like me would have to find a different classic server to play on, since I have no intention of buying it.

As for another reason why the server gets so empty during the summer is because most people don't spend their summer days on their computers. Actually when the schools start again and the weather starts getting worse is when people start getting on again.

Also I talked with Nick yesterday on classic and he said that the classic server is not being removed from opticraft, but if it ever were to happen, we would indeed get a creative server.

Guys, don't freak out. Classic is nowhere near dead yet.

Nowhere does it say that Classic is going anywhere. The first post of this section is pretty much a freak-out and it's just not necessary. It saves us a lot of skin if you folks could just do your research more often, rather than have us do all the dirty work and try and tell you all to chill out because of something as 'dreadful' as this-- which it's not.

I've had times a few months ago when I was the only person on Classic. It's just the server list resetting. Nothing to worry about. Team 9000 still has around 100 players usually, and that's because they're always at the top of the list. A couple of days ago I think we had around 80-90 players on. This is nothing to worry about.

You all talked about why we are low on our usual count of members on Classic, but everyone here forgot 2 important facts.

1. Majority of the classic members are ages 15 and under.
2. Summer Vacation has ended. School has begun (Exception being some schools start up in September instead of August.)

Sorry to say, but... Well, expect a larger decline of players by the 7th of September. When weekend homework/projects begin to pile up.
