Glitch, Glitch and Glitch

So I log on today to find tons of chat.  It says WoodenSlime joined the game but I can see the chat before I logged on.

That isn't a glitch, that is just Minecraft being helpful, and showing you chat from when you last logged off (I believe, although I'm certain it's not a glitch)

When you log off it doesn't clean the chat for you, it just takes from where you left off. You can also scroll up to see previous comments that were said when you were offline.

When I meant log off, I meant when the server closed. When the server closes it doesn't close the chat, but when you log off it does.

That could well be it. I've seen it many times, but never really thought about why it happened, just assumed it was a new feature.

It only happens to me when I get kicked from a server , not leaving.
It never happened before 1.5 so what claw said , Maby a new feature.
