Texture Pack Issues

Some of my texture pack no longer texture all/almost all items and blocks. The texture pack I am using right now only textures a few blocks and items like grass, armor, your health and food bar, chests, signs etc. But it will not retexture all other items and blocks like it once used to. I've had this texture pack for a long time and I remember how it would retexture all items and blocks. Why is this and how can I fix it?

Have you downloaded the most recent update for the texture pack?

I'ld find the most recent 1.5 compatible version of the texture pack. Texture packs in 1.5 are made differently, almost every block has its own file dedicated to it instead of multiple block textures being shared in 1 large file.
