IP: smp.opticraft.netGood news fellow Opticrafters, the member world is now open to all players member rank and up! Use /warp memberworld to join the new world. This is what everyone has been waiting for and we are extremly pleased with how the world turned out. As of right now /spawn will take you back to the guest world spawn so just use /warp memberworld again to get back to spawn. Have fun and enjoy! Please keep this world looking somewhat nice. Please report all bugs you encounter on this thread. Clarifications: /home has not been changed. ONE HOME shared between BOTH WORLDS Guests are able to join the member world, but they WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BUILD. If you are a guest, register on opticraft.net's forum to become a member and gain the ability to build in the new world! The rules of this world are exactly the same as the guest world. The guest world will still receive full moderator support (for now.) With this big update we have an equally big announcement. In 1 week from this day we will be removing the ability to sell pumpkins and melons to the market. People have been getting way too rich off of just afking in their farms for long periods of time. We realize the backlash on this will be huge so please do not post any complaints because our minds will not be changed. Suggestions are always welcome, but whiny complaints will be deleted and ignored. We will consider allowing people to trade their pistons for raw materials or a partial refund, but nothing is set in stone as of yet. Ingame name: Tiggy26668 Join date: Feb 16, 2012 List your creations, and the worlds they are on: Pre-Builder: panda ripping the head off a creeper, a panda riding a dragon carrying a sword and flag, an upside down collage of a beach house w/ blimp and boat adjacent, a replica model of my skin at the time (Goku), a Painted Turtle, and a whale killing a seal that's stabbing a panda in the back, that killed a penguin, and an epic little sand castle, it's made entirely of sand with the exception of the flags and floor, and uses the natural lighting of guest world to project shadows emphasizing the architecture of the castle. Hello fellow opticrafters,
I realize that it has been a while since we have officially announced anything about the upcoming member world for the server. Well I have some good news, the building portion of the world is officially DONE. All that is left are server side things that optical will need to sort out. Unfortunately, he is very busy at the moment so I cannot give you guys an accurate time for the worlds release, but we are working hard on getting you guys onto the new world.
To answer a few questions: Players inventories will stay the same between both worlds, so you will be able to take items to the new world and back. We will NOT be moving any buildings to the new world. The guest world will still be heavily moderated.

In light of recent events, we thought it would be a good idea to have a session on mumble where you can ask us senior staff members any questions you want and voice any concerns you may have. It could be about how we choose mods and OPs or questions about certain rules and policies. This should help ease tensions that seem to be occurring amongst the community. Senior staff includes Relkeb, ramkitty, tobs, xeadin, and I, but that doesn't mean you can't ask anyone else questions if you feel the need to.
Where: Opticraft mumble, you dont need a mic to attend.
When: Friday (time to be decided but most likely between 4-11pm EST)
If you cannot make it, you can always pm us or tell someone who will be there your question so they can ask it for you.

We encourage all players to follow these simple rules and guidelines in order to ensure everyone is having the best time they possibly can on the opticraft smp server.
Rules
1. No destroying or modifying other players blocks (griefing)
2. No mods or hacks at all, Optifine is ok.
3. Do not create any obscene structures or signs
4. No excessive swearing
5. Do not spam the chat or repeat yourself with nonsense
6. Please do not advertise other servers
7. No harassing of other users
8. Please do not ask for ranks
9. Killing players on purpose will result in a ban
10. Use common sense before you act. If part of you thinks what you are doing is wrong then don’t do it.
Guidelines
1. Players cannot own mobs spawners. Mob spawners are made by the server so a player cannot claim that a mob spawner is theirs. What a player can do is build around the mob spawner so someone would have to grief to get inside.
2. Do not ask Moderators, or Operators to TP you to another player, they will not do it.
3. Players are not allowed to place protection stones on land that someone has already built on. Find empty land or land you have built on to place your protection stone.
4. If you die and someone else picks up your items, they get to keep those items.
5. Be careful who you trade with, not everyone is trustworthy.
6. Do NOT vote for other people.
7. Do not beg for the trusted rank. I know there is already a rule stating to not ask for ranks but i really want to get the point across. You get trusted for being an active player that doesn't break rules or flam other users. The key to the rank is being patient.
Check back here regularly because there is a good chance more rules will be added as we progress.
