Tomorrow (26th October, 2014) marks the 10th anniversary of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. GTA: SA was/is the best selling PS2 game of all time, and even though is 10 years old, is still played by thousands upon thousands of people on other platforms. Rockstar are releasing a remastered version of the game on Xbox 360 (similar to mobile) and are discounting GTA: III, GTA: Vice City and GTA: San Andreas on the mobile platforms to celebrate the event. What is the theme?This event will test your ability to adapt and to use a specific block as the main part of your build. In this case the event will require you to use the SPONGE block as the focus. The Crafter rank is the next rank achievable after Builder, these players show extraordinary building talent and create some of the most impressive creations on Opticraft Creative. As they are among the best, this rank is not an easy one to achieve. To achieve it a player must show incredible building capabilities as well as dedication. This rank will be given by Admin+ to Builders. The creations in your application must be your own work, no team building or help from others. If at anytime you feel confident enough to become a Crafter, call an Admin over to briefly look at something you've made. At this point they will either tell you to apply with the template below for Crafter or to keep building. Here it is guys, Opticraft Creative! Use the above IP to connect to the server - it is now open to everyone. As Nick said, the server has many things which make it similar to Classic, even down the the small things such as join and change world messages (which can be toggled as in Classic with /togglenotifications). Start in the Guest world and build your way up through the ranks of Guest, Recruit, Builder and if you are skilled enough, Crafter! Remember each rank gets progressively harder, check the /ranks ingame for information. Each rank has their own world accessible with /j <world> or by walking through the portals in the Lobby. Hopefully you will all enjoy the server as much as Classic and show once again how much talent the people of Opticraft hold! I'm hoping that we will be able to have frequent events once we've got going to keep things interesting and fresh. Finally, thanks to everyone who helped and forum sections and more are on their way. IP: smp.opticraft.netHey guys! Just a quick post to let you know about two new PvP maps that have been added to our PvP world, Plaza and Valgate. Both are live and are able to be played at /warp pvphub right now! Plaza is an open above and below ground map with a clean look and plenty of space to fight, while Valgate is a Medieval Village with many places to run, hide and jump across to gain the advantage. The building holds warps to a collection of the best builds on Opticraft, get there by typing /warp halloffame and check out who has already been accepted. There are obviously not many at the moment, but we will be adding more builds as we receive applications and hopefully we will be able to fill the warp station with awesome stuff. Think your build has what it takes? Head over to the Project Applications board to see the requirements. Remember this is for the biggest and best builds, good luck!

♖ BURTHENGATE CASTLE ♖ Inspired by FyreUK, we are currently building a huge castle, possibly the biggest and most ambitious in Opticraft so far. Quality and quantity are both going into this project and thousands of blocks have been used so far. Once the castle has been finished, and if we feel like it, we will open up the castle so you can buy rooms, recieve jobs and live inside the kingdom of Burthengate. Completion-wise, it is nowhere near done. There is still a lot of external structure to be completed and after the whole of that has been finished work has to start inside on the rooms and decoration. Welcome to the Official thread for The Night Before Christmas - Opticraft Video project!------------------------------------------------------------------------  ------------------------------------------------------------------------ About...Just before Christmas last year I reworded the poem, Twas The Night Before Christmas to suit Opticraft. Including players, Minecraft-related stuff and a few other things. I didn't really have time to do anything before Christmas back then, so I decided to wait untill this year to make a narrated video with the words. Anyway, I have the poem narrated by RamKitty ready and all I need now is the footage! This is where you guys will need to help. I need some people (not necessarily the same in each scene - we have already used doubles...) to be actors, mainly reindeers ( *yay*) in a few scenes but if none of the main people are avalible at the time we might need some people to act as Nick, Relkeb and most probably optical... Recording...I need about 10 people to help at the same time, to be will post here the dates and times of when I will be recording next, make sure you post on this topic first so I get an idea of who is willing (and able) to help out. Next Recording Time: TBCMusts...- Use the skins that I provide - Listen to me at all times (or whoever I say to listen to) - Be able to go onto mumble (you don't need to talk, just be able to hear me) - Do not wander off the set - Do not edit/modify anything - If you are not in the scene, teleport away - Be quiet when I tell you Progress...So far I have completed recording through verses 1-3 and part of the 4th verse. I will need help to record some of the next few verses after I have worked out some better stage directions.
