Used a couple photos of the prop as a guide. Took 8 hours to complete and fine-tune. Hope you like!

Introductions / Just started playing Minecraft. Hey guys!

I probably should have posted here first.
Yesterday was my first time playing minecraft.  I never played it before because I was afraid I would get hooked and spend too much time on it.

My fears were realized..

Here's the result..

An update:

I filled in the bottom branches a little more. Looks a little better. Also, I made myself a nice cabin getaway house. Has two floors, fire place, deck, skylight, outside water pump....and even an outhouse (well, when you gotta go, you gotta go).

If each block is a meter cubed, then each side of the cube is a meter.  The tree is about 95 blocks tall = 95 meters.  The tree may look skinny from far away because it's so tall relative to its diameter. If you see it in person, you can get a better idea of how massive it is. The diameter at the base is about 8 blocks I think.  If you cut a hole in the base, you could easily fit a car through it.

My first night playing minecraft and I was already made a recruit! (for a tree house not pictured)

In the recruit world, I decided to build a full scale redwood tree (to the best of my knowledge).
I pretty much estimated the whole thing. It's about 95m tall.  Took me all night to do it. Hope you like!

Seen from across the map.

Closer up.

Base of the tree.
