Rejected / Re: Crafter Application - dfroster« on: January 07, 2015, 03:23:43 am »I think the design of a build needing more exterior or interior design is a matter of opinion. Who are we to judge a person's build because we want to see it that way? If the original builder chose not to include as much interior while instead focusing more on exterior, then they had a good reason to. It is their build and it is their vision. Well said. Best of luck to you doug! 5

Ingame name: Spartan_Rain
Join date: December 10, 2010 is when I joined the classic server. I got back into Opticraft Creative in December of 2014. Briefly describe all your creations: I started with a small ship, based on the design of a caravel, that sailed me into the recruit rank and then focused on tackling some bigger projects. I've built a to scale representation of the town of Riverwood from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Finally, I have built a battleship based on a German design that I'm pretty proud of and have spent quite a bit of time on. What world/s are the creations on: All creations are on Recruit4. Links to screenshots of the creation: Caravel /home spartan_rain:ship (click to show/hide) Riverwood from Skyrim /home spartan_rain:riverwood (click to show/hide) Battleship /home spartan_rain:battleship (click to show/hide) Names of players who helped contribute: None. Extra (Anything else you want to mention): I don't expect anything but I have high hopes. I will definitely keep trying if I am rejected. 7

Non minecraft creations / Re: Messing around with gimp« on: January 09, 2012, 12:40:56 am »
Sure. I used this image:
![]() With the above image, I went to filters -> Map -> Map Object. I then selected the layer that contains the soil image above, and mapped the image onto a sphere. I then inverted the colors so that it turned a bluish color. Then I went into Filters -> distorts -> polor coords. Deselect the "to polar" checkbox. Then I rotated it 90 degrees clockwise. I then went to Filters -> distorts -> wind, and stretched the edge. Then I rotated it 90 degrees counter-clockwise, went back to Filters -> distorts -> polar coors, and selected "to polar". Then Choose a gradient you want and map it and you're done! There ya go. EDIT: And nick, I told him I had a bit of experience in gimp, so I used that. |
