The event is live, you can start building in the first available lot (they are numbered). You may work with who you wish, and you can enter with several spawns.
Minimum required rank: Builder
Objective: Make a spawn area that we could use in new maps.
Maps: "event"
Special conditions / notes: Vary with colors, height, and shapes to create good spawns.

Hey, as there are other gamers here, I guess you have attended a LAN before. A LAN is when you connect several computers to a local network. Have you ever attended one/going to? In my case this easter, I am attending a LAN with around 5500 computers. The event stretches out for five days, and costs 200$. The download per second is 100gpbs, which is 43200 TERRAbyte if the internet capasity is under 100% load 24/5 ( http://www.gathering.org/tg11/en/news/48/56/Record-speed/) Here is a video from last year : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebXdbdxnAtg I recomend you to see the whole movie. At The Gathering you can do about everything, there is free candy and soda (coke, sprite, solo). You can learn programming, 3d arts and music. (there are dedicated gurus for it 24/5) There are competitions within both gaming and creativity. prizes in everything, and a total of over 20000$ in cash prizes. Live bands perform there, djs play, and there is live wrestling as well. The people who are there are simply awesome, and you will NEVER be bored . English site for the LAN : http://www.gathering.org/tg11/en/U jello?

Hey! Even though many of you are familiar with me, i will post here to get to know players from other timezones! First of all i would like to say that my name is Morten. I am 17 year old, and I'm currently educating to be a electrician. My hobbies consist of Making and listening to music (DnB, Classical rock like Pink Floyd, and hands up music). I also play alot of Minecraft, which is quite obvious :p My buildingstyle is real life buildings, I'm not very fond of sprites. I give everyone a chance unless they give me a reason not to Thats all, if you are curious for more, talk to me ingame!

Name:Morten1ela (alias Morten, which is my real name) Age: 17 Location: Norway Timezone: GMT +1. Join date: my stats tell me that i joined before christmas, that might have been when i still was hunting for a server, so my real join date would be 31.1.10 Forum Join date: 02.01.2010 Current rank: Builder Reason for application: Recently I've been playing on alot of different servers, I've looked at the community and the player, which matters the most to me when i pick a server, and with alot of other factors, I've decided to settle down on opticraft. hence why i apply here today. Back to the other factors. The server needs new operators to moderate and help new players, new players are opticraft's future, and we cant loose them because we have none to stop people from griefing their work. This will lead to that they join before they show their true potential. Why you should become an operator: I should become an operator because I am a very supportive person. I do not give up under pressure, I motivate people, but still, I can be strict. I have a long history in helping, I was always the medic or the healer of the team. So i know the importance of communicating with other players. I am extremely active, (im online atleast 3 hours each day, weekends its even more) Extra information: I do not strive for the operator position, you should not pick those, because i have learned that those who strive getting a item, in a childish manner. seems to get pretty sick of the item very quickly. One other thing is that even though im gmt + 1 I do not always have the day rythm of one. I mostly play when opticalza is on, and a bit before that. Thats when my country is sleeping

I've gotten alot of possitive feedback from Op's suchs as amberrea, Darkvpn and flightwentyone, and many builders (thanks alot mates!) The contruction is a Norwegian church named "Røros Kirke" I chose this construction, because i could simply look out of the window if i ever were stuck in the building project. Here are some pictures of it that i found on google: And here is my finished work, which now lay in one of the corners of guestswamp (it is partly zoned, i had to expand a little, so be quick and check it out!): Outside: inside: I sincerely hope that you guys like it, and sorry for any gramatic errors.
