NO. No melon or pumpkin farms at all. We already have one far far far away from Stuttgart, and we intend to keep it this way.
Stuttgart is a city based on realism. Meaning no floating buildings, or structures that wouldn't exist in real life.
We already have wheat farm all the way to the south. The government will buy 50% of it, and sell it to foreign investors. Aside from that, there's a local KFC store that already has food. and you can grow a SMALL farm in your basement, or garden.
No automatic ones though. Let's just keep it as real as possible.
I'll finish renovating it Tomorrow though. for the time being type /home tabooti, and one the rooms in the top would be open for you to use, till I'm done.

I like big towns. I am looking for space to build a big spleef arena and shop.
I have noticed a problem with mobs randomly spawning around the city. It seems that if you go AFK on a street at night for a minutes or two. A mob will somehow sneak up on you and kill you. I lit up an grassy area directly across the street from my house, to stop them from spawning in that proximity. However, while I was walking around the city, and thank heavens I was carrying my diamond sword, a spider fell out of no where on top of me! I was wondering if it would be possible to add some more lighting to the city (redstone lamps level with the surface down dark alleys). I am also willing to remove the torches that I have placed upon request, even though they are not infringing upon anyone's property.Well, I think the real problem is, from your explanation, that the rooftops are not lit up, and therefore are perfect spawning grounds for hostile mobs. I know it kinda looks silly and unrealistic, but it would perhaps be more beneficial to place torches on the roofs.

My vacation to Las Vegas is coming up! I would just like to tell everybody that I will be gone for about a week starting Tuesday. I left Enderpolis because I was becoming too inactive and decided someone else should fill my position. Considering my low activity in SMP as opposed to Classic, I havent really had time to join any others.

I love to help you expand Stuttgart, first of all by becoming a Citizen, if possible. We've just extended the subway westwards from Stuttgart, reaching to Munich. We plan to continue to subway to reach Lehen.I'd love the volunteer-- I'll contact gen immediately :3
Munich station will have a a southbound train, reaching as far as Calau.
subways in all directions are currently under construction, we anticipate their completion by Late march, 2014.
The city of Stuttgart will be accepting donations of work tools, food, money, and volunteers to help us complete the subway, all for public service.
For any volunteers, please contact Mayor Igenerator for details.
All volunteers will be rewarded with the Stuttgart Construction Medal (Bronze - Diamonds decorations) based on the effort put forth.
