Title: Ban problem
Post by: Adameq7 on April 17, 2011, 06:56:11 pm
I discovered that someone stole my Minecraft account... On few servers (but now I'm interested only in Opticraft) I'm banned! I changed my password, but I can't get access to the servers... :'( I think that it was for griefing, but I don't know anything... So, is it possible to ,,unban" me?

Sorry if I made any mistakes, I'm from Poland.

Of course its possible to unban you! However, I believe that a bit more proof of this 'hacking' is needed to unban you.

Sorry to say, but I got the IP that was last used and traced it and it said it was last used in Poland and you live there so I'm not thinking you got hacked.

Why would him living in poland have ANYTHING to do with him being hacked...?

Usually hackers are from totally different parts of the world.

Because its not just coincidence that the "hacker" lives in the same country as him.

It could happen. I have a kinda suggestion... How about have like... a reason for a ban? and then on the ban list, it would look kinda like this scenario.

/ban mr_mr_mr He griefed

This would output:

Mr_Mr_Mr was kicked by: Spartan_Rain (For griefing)
Mr_Mr_Mr has left the server

Now when you go into the list of banned people (I dont know if there is one or what):

(Mr_Mr_Mr : For griefing)

This way, admin can go into the list of banned people and easily see why they were banned in the first place.

That would be /ban Mr_Mr_Mr 0 He griefed
I also think that's a little much to type

Plus the output? Mr_Mr_Mr was kicked by: Spartan_Rain (For griefing)
Why kicked, it should say ban.

Nothing else is weird to me, but I like this suggestion.

Look at the post date of the last post in a topic, if it s more then a few weeks old, dont post in it. If you do, this is called "necroposting" and is regarded negatively by all members.
Also, do not make one/two word posts, nor emoticon only posts.

Topic locked, the problem came to a close ages ago.
