I have set up a Mumble server for opticraft after many requests for it from our users.
Mumble download (Windows): http://sourceforge.net/projects/mumble/files%2FMumble%2F1.2.3%2Fmumble-1.2.3.msi/download
IP: mumble.opticraft.net
Port: 64738 (Default)
As of right now it is fairly bare, but we will flesh it out a bit more over time, especially if people make good use of it. If you have any suggestions, make a post and we'll consider it!
So please, do make use of it, and expect more updates on it in regards to how it is going to be managed in the future.

my webcam isnt compatible with my new 64 bit windows, so its gonna be a while before i join, and even then i dont like talking

Maybe a skype group-call? Probably wouldn't work out either... but, it's just a hunch

Mumble is much easier to use than skype for talking. Plus you cant use push to talk on skype.

Mumble is much easier to use than skype for talking. Plus you cant use push to talk on skype.
U can use it on mumble too. Atleast on ubuntu version of it. Click on configure mumble and there should be Audio input tab. In it change Transmit to Push to Talk. In configure mumble there is a Shortcuts tab too. Go in it and change Push to Talk function to a button that you will push to talk.

i still do not see why u don't use Ventrilo its super easy to download and its has push-to-talk along with voise activation. u can have multiple different channels for different projects, and u can hold I believe 100 people at once.
the ip adress/password/port is really easy to put in aswell.it can reach to several different contries aswell.

here is the ip port and pass word in order from top to bottom.
after u input the ^ it will be saved in a log and u will never have to retype it in.

Mumble does all that. It is also free and open source, has higher quality voice codecs, plugins for games, application attenutation, and much much more.
Vent is out dated and dying, there is no reason to use it anymore.

I mean, Xeadin and Grand_Chill were on one night, and we all talked. And every once in a while Pilot would join us. But that was like 3 weeks ago... If this is in any way taxing on Optical, I don't honestly see the reason to keep it up.

its 100% free, and uses almost no resources, so its fine by me to keep it :)

I keep having issues connecting. I put label:opticraft, adress: mumble.opticraft.net, port: 64738(default ofc), user: ForsakenEden, and no pass.
Yet I keep getting "[1:06:47 PM] Server connection failed: The remote host closed the connection."
I also tried turning off my anti-virus. Can you help plz?

No it wont, microsoft made the xbox specifically so you could only use headsets made for 360. Unlike the ps3 where any usb headset will work.

My best memory of mumble is when I said "i like apples" and Relkeb thought he was going crazy :P
Timezone is also the reason I don't meet admins and ops often.

I want to ask, and to answer me someone who knows.
I hade the wom, and all were ok. I installed the mumble server, and then the problems appeared.
1) I made around to 2-3 servers the same in order to log in. I finally made it, but with some problems of DC and some others(I dont remember how it was called..)
2) When I get dc from Mumble, I get in WOM too. Is there something like connection between them?
3) Now, since yesterday, I cant log in to WOM. What is going on?
Finally, I uninstalled the mumble to see if the problem solved, I made Restart my pc, and still nothing..
Any help available??

Wenever i go on, nobody else is on. A few times staff have comeon, but they instantly move to the staff channel D:
