Opticraft needs people. Donating won't help. Or will it?
I shall be giving $20 in donations away to whoever recruits the most new people to Opticraft (as of the moment this was posted). You need a screenshot ingame of them saying "______ showed me Opticraft" or something. Also, you need to add a link to their forum profile so I can see their join date (date needs to be after this topic was posted). I will decide the winner on February 10th, 2014.

this is an ok idea, but what if I just get twenty or so of my friends on others servers to join, which isn't difficult, and say that ingame, and then they never play again?
just dont want you to waste your money.

Also, it kinda is more biased toward newer players, whom are fairly rare these days. I've invited everyone I possibly could onto Opticraft already (successfully, I might add. I need to get Cazual to become active again). A lot of people have as well.
Although if you can prevent what loaf has said, this contest could be pretty successful.

just a thought on preventing the "never play agains" before handing out rewards in feb, you could just /seen each name to see if they haven't logged on again since the screenshot.

Good idea.
Also, it wouldn't be a complete waste of money because I'm still donating $20 for the server. And Salsa, you can always get more players on from other servers, or other games .

If you know anybody playing facebook games like social city, farm town etc, u can show them how much more fun and interactive minecraft is, and how on this server its better than others because griefing isn't allowed and the creepers don't destroy everything, etc. Bonus, no more adding people you don't know to face book so you can get more stuff in your game.

you can always get more players on from other servers
Just don't advertise globally on other servers or we'll get another admin breathing down our neck again. Plus we hate it when people advertise their server on ours so why should we do it to others? That's kind of hypocritical if you ask me.
