For those applying who don't know how to, here is a guide for screen shots! ~credits to Tazaraki from http://www.mudandblood.net/ ~
1. Press the Print screen button on your keyboard.

keep in mind that it sometimes comes up at Prt Scr.

2. Open the Paint program or any other image editing software you got.
3. Press Ctrl+V (Paste command), in that program.
Optional: You may crop or edit the picture as you wish.
4. Save the picture as a .jpg or .jpeg file.
5. Open up the internet browser and sign in / sign up for an image hosting website.
6. Upload your image to that website and copy the direct link of that image.
7. From the direct link of the image you copied, paste them in the forum reply.
8. Then wrap the pasted link with the following code:
[img] image link [/img]
9. You're done and you may post.
10. Enjoy. :D

possibly, yes. it gets annoying hitting links over and over again, and realising you've just hit the same one five times in a row.

Is anyone else getting a problem getting print screen to work?
I have windows 7 and it wont work.

This needs editing to say that if you are on a mac, (hold shift and command while pressing 3
a screen shot will then appear as a file on your desktop)
Other than that it is a great guide, well done!

Nice little guide, even though I already knew how to do that lol.
The easiest site to upload images to in my opinion is Min.us (http://Min.us) . All you have to do is drag and drop.

there is also Clip2Net, which doesnt work that well in my opinion.

But for some reason not all of the uploaded images appear on imageshack.
Many pictures just 'disappear'

no, i use imgur! IT's really better, imageshack takes forever to load, vs imgur which is instant

I always use imgur, but I always encounter problems when uploading.

Imgur is much easier to use imo, all you do is drag pictures down onto the page.

Imgur is the easiest website to use IMO.
Also if you are playing with WoM you can just hit ScreenShot.

Yeah, I really like Imgur. Photobucket will sometimes self-destruct if too many photos are going through at once... :-\

Well, thats kind of a given. This is designed so even the complete noob can understand it.
I also dont get the legion reference…? Especially since you uploaded it with imageshack, and you're talking about imgur.

Hahaha Random Legion reference because I am legion. Just looking for any /b/rothers out there. Also, the Legion picture is actually a Gif file and couldn't be uploaded to Imgur so I used... *Shudder* Image Shack

if u clicked on prtsc and nothing happened that means u have to get a screen recorder+capture program i know its for money but dont worry i have the best program and i have the full version its called bsr screen recorder it recordes and capture i got it from this video on youtube

It should let you print screen.. some laptops have the 'Fn' button, usually located in the bottom left of the keyboard, and the 'print screen' button will be in the same colour as the 'fn' button, only it will be written underneath a main button such as the 'END' button.

You got to paste it on Paint after that

The PRTSC button functions like a ctrl+c shortcut that copies the entire computer screen, so you have to do ctrl+v into an image editing program and crop it accordingly (cropping as in resizing/ cutting off unnecessary clutter taken from the screenshot)

I don't see how you still don't get it.. Press printscreen, paste into paint, click save, name it whatever you want, add a .jpg at the end of the name, and upload it to a photo sharing site.
BTW You better be glad this is sticky, or that would have been necro. :p

After you've hit "prt scr", open up paint and hold down "ctrl" then hit "v". The screenshot should then appear in paint. Then go to the "File" dropdown menu in the top right corner of the window, drop that down, then look for "save as...". Click that, then look for the "file type" dropdown near the bottom of the save window. Select ".jpg" as the file type, and name it anything you want (make sure you remember where the file is saved). Then go to a file-sharing site such as imgur or mineimg, and upload your photos there.
If that doesn't work, pm me and tell me at what point you get stuck, ok? :)

I don't have notepad, paint, or the "appropriate" Microsoft Office Word because I have 2003! ??? :(

paint is a standard program on your computer right?

Microsoft Paint has NOTHING to do with Microsoft Office at all. It's a simple program on your computer.
Even Windows '98 has Paint on it.

I can't take screenshots, When i am using World of Minecraft, I'm pressing the button, but it won't take the screenshot. Anyone Know how to do it?

When you hit the "screenshot" button, it should exit out of your menu for about 1 second then go back. When you go to your WoM folder or wherever you keep your WoM client, it should have the screenshots in there along with chatlogs and your WoM.
You should find the screenshots there.

For my laptop i have to do CTRL + fn + [insert] prt sc to copy the screen then as said before paste into paint
