That's right my friends, it is time for another classic building event.
When: starting Nov 7th.
Where: On the World BuildEvent. It will be separated into sections pending on how many participants we have.
Who: Recruit + No working in groups.
Theme: Skyscrapers. Pretty generic I know but this is just for starters to see how this goes.
Pending the winners approval, I would like to put the building into our city project on smp called metropolis.
Leave your ingame name here if you are going to enter.

I've been having that problem too lately (BuildEvent isnt the only world that does that to me either).

I still can't enter the world, it gives me a white screen :l

I was afraid this would happen, the world is too big for some computers to load, they run otu of memory and the client crashes.

It might be something else. Because BuildEvent isnt the only world that does this to me. Turt's world and even my world (sometimes) does the same thing, and I never had this problem before like a month or so ago.
Edit: Here's the error message if anybody wants to diagnose the problem:
"Client Error
The game broke! [java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Comparison method violates its general contract!]"

You computer might have 16GB of ram, but how much of it have you configured your java to use?

touche, but i allocated 4g to java which is more than enough to run mc classic

Well thats the exact problem i had when i did not give enough memory to java. Make sure you have 64 bit java aswell because if you have 32 bit, allowing 4gb wont do anything.

My computer is crap, but I was able to load it when it first came out.
I haven't been to the world since people started building, but idk if that'd make much of a difference.

Only 3 people have said they cant enter and that doesn't change the fact that a lot of people built like a few blocks then gave up.

well i would have loved to make a building but i wasn't cool enough for the world.... and just cuz other people haven't said so doesn't mean they could get in the world. maybe just all the people that did wanna build couldn't get in and the ones that could were the lazies

I know how you feel, I made my masterpiece without WoM as well.
