As you may know, snapshots for 1.3 have been released, and a new type of chest is the Enderchest. For those who haven't been up to speed about said topics may be confused. The Enderchest is an indestructible chest that has an interesting quality: multiple Enderchests SHARE inventories (think the Magic Backpack from the Backpack mod) and they even work in different realms (one Enderchest can connect to one in the Nether) This is all good, but how will they work on a rather large server like Opticraft? From what I observed, other players could look and take items from the chest another player created. This makes it rather useless, if other players steal every item put in the chest. So I am asking how will Optical and the development team work this out? Will the just be disabled? Are the development team developing a plugin that makes "networks" of the chests where you could allow other players? how do you think they will handle this?

This can probably be solved by the player that has placed their enderchests can make them private like normal chests, and have many of the LWC features. The player can access only their enderchests.

I am sure that Bukkit will have a solution to this, so all we can do is wait.

Looks like our questions about Enderchests have been answered (http://www.opticraft.net/index.php/topic,9520.msg98736.html#msg98736) :)

There should be ender chestchannels. Basically, say /lock ch (custom name) and other chests would need a password to access that channel.

Lock this the latest snapshot fixed this issue.
