Reason for application: Whenever I go into the guest or member world (unfortunately sometimes even the recruit world) I see grief all around. I help as many guests as I can; placing water, giving them reviews, etc. etc. but I can offer no help to those who have been griefed. Often when I am on guests ask me for a promotion and the best I can do is help/advice. Also when people complain about griefers the best I can do is threaten to tell an op later....of course by the time an op comes on the other guests have usually fixed all the griefing.
Why you should become an operator: I am mature, and given the rank of op I think I can help make the server run smooth and free of grief. I enjoy giving building advice and would be an avid app reviewer. Over the several months Ive been a part of this servers community I have met many of the other players. I think it would be great to be able to become one of the people that help moderate the server and make it a fun place for everyone.
Have you been temp-op before?: I just was temp op last night! (the 16th)
Extra information:I have plenty of free time to dedicate to the server. Also if I am not accepted as an operator I will still continue to help guests/members with reviews/placing water. A lot of ops spend time on both SMP and classic, but given as I have not purchased the full game yet I can dedicate all my free time to classic.

Ah the time has come where u apply for OP. You have great potential, man, I see it in you. Always quick to help others out, being friendly with the guests, and being a good role model. Although, I'd like you to go for crafter someday, I support you now on your operator application.

One thing I want to say, although builders cant ban or kick, we can get griefers banned other ways. Earlier today there was a guest walking around griefing tons of builds, he was also using excessive amounts of expletives. So I asked this guest if he wanted to grief the question mark cube (knowing of course it would ban and undo his actions) and he said sure. I led him to the cube and POOF all his grief was gone. So to contradict what I said in my app, there are ways for anyone to get griefers banned, you just have to convince them to grief one of the traps.

However, there is another way to lure them. I don't remember which builder it was, but what he did was when he saw someone that was griefing, he would say ,"Don't grief my question cube, or else I will be very mad!" therefore causing the griefer to do the opposite, which turned out to be a very effective way of doing things as 3 people were banned in the period of about 10 minutes. This would not encourage them to grief, but implicate reverse phycology to eliminate griefers.

I do like this one better, i believe i recall myself saying the same thing or one referring to another grief trap as a builder.

Thanks for the responses. What victor was talking about seems like a better way of getting them banned when no ops are on. I don't want to feel like I'm encouraging grief so next time I'll try to avoid bluntly asking them to grief the cube.

I am withdrawing my op app, please move this to rejected. I have decided I am going to go for crafter instead of op. Thank you to everyone who supported me!
Sorry for changing my mind too much, I understand if this causes me to be rejected. Anyway I have decided to not withdraw my app but keep it up. I was planning on going for crafter, but after a week or so of building I started getting pulled to helping people and getting griefers banned. Once again sorry for the sudden change of mind. Ignore my withdrawal post
