Title: Texture packs
Post by: Nick3306 on September 16, 2011, 03:55:44 am
I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread where people can share diff texture packs that they use and suggest ones to others.

For 3 days i have been trying many different texture packs but right now i am sticking with the LB photorealism pack. if you can ignore the weird texture it has for fire, it is great. Download it here. (http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/127377-16x-32x-64x-128x-256x18-lb-photo-realism-18-compatible-9132011/)

I never liked the realisitic packs. They look weird and the weapins and tools are odd. Ill post some pics of my modded doku when i get a chance.

I agree that the tools can look a bit weird but it is worth it for the awesome textures. I tried doku but didn't like it at all. Not sure why, it just didnt look as good as the standard textures.

Matt has the right link, ill add it to my post.

Now i want to point out that if your computer lags while playing minecraft on original textures, you may not want to use the 256x256 version. Try the 128x128 or 64x64 and see if your performance falls too much.

I am using the 256x256 version, he does have a new texture pack but it is in testing at the bottom of that post, i might try that later.
