Title: can't find server

hey im new, can't connect to the server. i go to direct connect, paste the "smp.opticraft.net" and i get. java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out: no further information. anyone have any tips on how i can get on? thanks in advance. i tried in 1.7.10 and 1.8

Try mc.opticraft.net as the ip

What does the game output tab, on the launcher window, show when you try to connect?
