For the past few days, I've been having connection problems. My server list would show "Can't resolve hostname" and after exiting a few times it would work. Most of the time I can connect to a few servers, then later when I try to connect to them again after logging out, it says "failed to login :the authentication are currently down for maintenance." And just today, I tried to log in and there was an unknown host exception error. I restarted my computer and everything was running great, then the authentication messages appeared when I tried to connect to any server. I closed my launcher and relaunched it and I'm having problems logging in. Even worse, most websites I try to go on say "no data received" and I'm ever getting 404s now. I've tried looking for solutions but a few only work temporarily (restarting computer, relaunching the Launcher, logging out). So I'd really appreciate some help.

Only thing I can think of is maybe turning off and on your router?

The website thing is not a problem anymore but I still can't log into Minecraft. Ill try that then
edit: Im able to log in but I still see "can't resolve hostname"

I get this sometimes too. Have you tried this on a different computer?

My other computer broke down due to a virus that got out of control

Apparently it was my firewall blocking Minecraft and a poor DNS connection. The problem was solved last night.
